An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgny Landin in the 15th minute of play forced ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's goalkeeper Pablo Maggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Boca Juniors's Torgny Landin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pablo Maggio. That made the score 1-1 after 21 minutes of play. Pablo Maggio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torgny Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Jan Höijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ got a freekick which was hit by Tymoteusz Walentowicz. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torgny Landin was the one to do the kick off. Torgny Landin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Maggio having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Torgny Landin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pablo Maggio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ made a substitution. Tomas Demario replaced Domingo Clis. Boca Juniors's Harry Hedling was substituted for Niklas Kjellberg. In the 68th match minute, ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dmitriy Didorenko to maneuver through the defense. Torgny Landin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zézinho Veloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Jens-Åke Källberg made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgny Landin in the 90th minute of play forced ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's goalkeeper Pablo Maggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Torgny Landin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Boca Juniors's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
