Pedro Paulo Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stan Wawrinka in the 12th minute of the match. Pedro Paulo Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Montez in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Montez in the 17th minute of play forced Airborne FC's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Airborne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Montez came free, but Pedro Paulo Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Espen Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Tobie Canclini. Danilo Principe was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Casimiro Jatsu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Gregor Kobel made a huge save. In the 27th minute of the match Airborne FC got a corner. Espen Steelers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Qin Xiang Chuan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Casimiro Jatsu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregor Kobel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Airborne FC's Luan Mota got a free kick in the 31st minute. Airborne FC's Pedro Paulo Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Berset in the 32nd minute of play. Casimiro Jatsu might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregor Kobel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casimiro Jatsu ran back to his position shaking his head. Gregor Kobel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Casimiro Jatsu in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Airborne FC's César Sampaio got a free kick in the 35th minute. Ekain Menendez got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rogelio Montez. Airborne FC's attentive Luan Mota managed to snatch the ball when Tobie Canclini made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. When Luan Mota came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Airborne FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luan Mota couldn't finish the play. Danilo Principe kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

Airborne FC's Sven Lind was substituted for Danilo Principe. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stan Wawrinka was the one to do the kick off. Gregor Kobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Jatsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Alain Berset scored 0-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Paulo Barreto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Espen Steelers's Alex Ioneasa was substituted for Tobie Canclini. In the 72nd match minute, Espen Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Schmid to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Espen Steelers's zone, César Sampaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregor Kobel came out of the goal and César Sampaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gregor Kobel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Jatsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Jatsu in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Airborne FC booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stan Wawrinka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Airborne FC made a substitution. Cássio Chaves replaced Toby Tielemans. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Stan Wawrinka hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Espen Steelers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
