Robin Sharma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joris Scheer in the 14th minute. Armando Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afşar Uçuk in the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's Joris Scheer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robin Sharma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 20 minutes, Bernardinho Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With a little luck, Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma got control of the ball when Joris Scheer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robin Sharma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute S.C.CHUÍ were awarded a corner. Bernardinho Abreu went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Bernardinho Abreu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Robin Sharma quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Bernardinho Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Sharma having to interfere. Froilan Bartolome made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bernardinho Abreu. After 33 minutes, Carlos Gamarra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.C.CHUÍ and the Blue Mountain State players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, S.C.CHUÍ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Gamarra to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goal looked a bit too open when Tang Yang Le came free, but Armando Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the S.C.CHUÍ defense, Karol Panasewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Cerezo. The S.C.CHUÍ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Cerezo should have stopped the shot. S.C.CHUÍ's Armando Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Panasewicz in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Blue Mountain State's Karol Panasewicz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armando Cerezo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The audience was convinced that Isidoro Estebe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armando Cerezo was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After the first half Blue Mountain State were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Joris Scheer made the kick off in the second half. The shot was stopped by Armando Cerezo but with some difficulty. In the 77th minute, Jaime Patrício ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robin Sharma was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The supporters of Blue Mountain State booed when S.C.CHUÍ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Bartolome didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel-Andrés Messi came free, but Armando Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
