Herbert Grom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Aírton Queirós made a huge save. If 黄庭延 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Herbert Grom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aírton Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute of the match, 黄庭延 got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aírton Queirós was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 5-0 became the score in the 37th minute when Herbert Grom elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sílvio Corrêa made a kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Herbert Grom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quebra Ossos FC's Aírton Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Quebra Ossos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer Dracena to maneuver through the defense. Aírton Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herbert Grom went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Quebra Ossos FC's zone, Herbert Grom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton Queirós came out of the goal and Herbert Grom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
