The supporters of BK Värdsholmen booed when AVAÍ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Alegría didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Åke Öman put in a rough tackle. Alex Sági scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Tolsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joel Tolsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Sági in the 17th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tarcisio Chaves in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Tolsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to AVAÍ F.C. getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Dario Alegría hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match BK Värdsholmen got a corner. AVAÍ F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tage Brodin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Tage Brodin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AVAÍ F.C.'s Marcos Buffon did a great save. BK Värdsholmen's Joel Tolsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Alegría in the 29th minute of play. When Tage Brodin came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the BK Värdsholmen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tage Brodin couldn't finish the play. Alex Sági fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Tolsson having to interfere. Joel Tolsson came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by AVAÍ F.C.'s Dario Alegría. But to his dismay, Dario Alegría quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Norberg in the 42nd minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Dario Alegría managed to get in a good position for a shot. AVAÍ F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Alegría was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Tolsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Roy Hamberg kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The long shot by Alex Sági in the 54th minute really tested Joel Tolsson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 55th match minute, BK Värdsholmen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaf Snäll to maneuver through the defense. When Tarcisio Chaves came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the AVAÍ F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tarcisio Chaves couldn't finish the play. Tarcisio Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Tolsson having to interfere. Marcos Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tage Brodin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Dario Alegría shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute of the match AVAÍ F.C. got a corner. BK Värdsholmen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alex Sági ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Manfredo Gerber heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a rather tough play, AVAÍ F.C.'s Alex Sági got a free kick in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roger Norberg came free, but Marcos Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Tolsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Alegría in the 73rd minute of play. After 76 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Cabral. After having played for 78 minutes, Walmyr Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AVAÍ F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmyr Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gustaf Snäll fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BK Värdsholmen's protests and gave Gustaf Snäll a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to BK Värdsholmen getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Gustaf Snäll hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Alex Sági kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joel Tolsson. That made the score 0-5 in the 86 minute of play. Joel Tolsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Sági, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Sági in the 94th minute of play forced BK Värdsholmen's goalkeeper Joel Tolsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AVAÍ F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
