With an all-out effort, KV Schoonwater's Federico Jaizki threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abel Van Den Wijngaert, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel Van Den Wijngaert to make the kick off.
