The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Chatziantoniou Vakoufaris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atay Türegün made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ntinos Kaliakatsos in the 36th minute of play. With a little luck, Jose F.C.'s Aris Zanteroglou got control of the ball when Bengt-Åke Fransson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pipis Thiakos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to Jose F.C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Claudio Bassani hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gu Yi Yuan made a kick off. Aris Zanteroglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Servando in the 54th minute of the match. After 55 minutes, Gu Yi Yuan made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Jose F.C.'s Aris Zanteroglou tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Jose F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gu Yi Yuan came free, but Aris Zanteroglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gu Yi Yuan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aris Zanteroglou was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 63rd minute of the match MegaFenerbahce got a corner. Jose F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
