Northern California's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Chorche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Northern California booed when ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Incendio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th of the match, Gust Mathijs tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but David Schembri got in the way and made a wonderful save. David Schembri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gust Mathijs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 1-0 became the score in the 11th minute when Gust Mathijs elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Chorche in the 15th minute of play forced ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's goalkeeper Jaime Senin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Efrain Incendio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Schembri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Schembri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelio Cebrian in the 22nd minute. In the 27th minute, Gust Mathijs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Senin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Guillelme in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Jonathan Bernaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Senin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Northern California's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Behe came free, but David Schembri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Gust Mathijs notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Northern California's David Schembri. David Schembri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustavo Isazi to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efrain Incendio in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Schembri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Schembri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Cebrian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gust Mathijs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. David Schembri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Chorche could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Jaime Senin made a huge save. In the 63rd minute Efrain Incendio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Schembri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's Jaime Senin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Chorche in the 64th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Gust Mathijs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Schembri. Northern California's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gust Mathijs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 84 minutes Northern California's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benigno Senon who took care of the corner kick. Aivo Viilop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Schembri having to interfere. Luis Rius scored 4-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Schembri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. David Schembri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Rius, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 96th match minute, ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Behe to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Northern California had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
