The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. UPTEXTIL.COM's Belchior Mamatov got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AMLUCHO's Selahaddin Esentürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pontus Hjortberg in the 4th minute of play. Mingo Camats made in the 6th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Mário Maldini however managed to control. Paolo Ruisko hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Kerim Altunbaş received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mateus Cruz came out and tried to block the shot, but Kerim Altunbaş slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Selahaddin Esentürk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belchior Mamatov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Selahaddin Esentürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Ruisko in the 21st minute of play. UPTEXTIL.COM's Hugo do Valle was substituted for Zé Paulo Queirós. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kerim Altunbaş got free with Mateus Cruz in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute of the match AMLUCHO got a corner. UPTEXTIL.COM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jackie Banks ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Nélson Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, UPTEXTIL.COM's goal looked a bit too open when Kerim Altunbaş came free, but Mateus Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Kerim Altunbaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AMLUCHO's Teofil Paprotny was substituted for Ştefan Șerbulea. The supporters of UPTEXTIL.COM booed when AMLUCHO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Vilarinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, AMLUCHO's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Ruisko came free, but Selahaddin Esentürk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes UPTEXTIL.COM got a freekick which was hit by Mingo Camats. A collision led to UPTEXTIL.COM getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Mingo Camats hit a great ball. The AMLUCHO support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
