Freestylers's Yuan Lei Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Del Monte in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute Santiago Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuan Lei Jing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes Freestylers got a freekick which was hit by Umut Uluşahin. Ingvar Nykvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Abstreiter, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goal looked a bit too open when German Evarado came free, but Ingvar Nykvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Abstreiter in the 36th minute of play forced ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Ingvar Nykvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Björn Kamp might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yuan Lei Jing. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Björn Kamp ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when German Evarado got free with Ingvar Nykvist in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yuan Lei Jing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Silva in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Freestylers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Björn Kamp was slow to take the kick. During this time ΠΑΟΚ FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Björn Kamp almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Freestylers's Yuan Lei Jing did a great save. Yuan Lei Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sotiris Zacharakis in the 76th minute of the match. Santiago Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yuan Lei Jing. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Pietro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ingvar Nykvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ingvar Nykvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Pietro in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, one of Freestylers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
