Callegari's Rubinho Lago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Callegari from getting a goal against them. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pentti Ojala stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Callegari booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folko Rebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josef Witlatschil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barnaba Kolba's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Josef Witlatschil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigoris Gavril in the 57th minute of the match. When Callegari's Grigoris Gavril, in the 57th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Callegari. Callegari made a substitution. Luís Fernando Laguna replaced Grigoris Gavril. Taco Van Der Hoorn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josef Witlatschil having to make a save. In the 85th minute Taco Van Der Hoorn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Witlatschil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Folko Rebe got a free kick in the 87th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Taco Van Der Hoorn in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josef Witlatschil saved Tiger from getting behind. 91 minutes into the game, Callegari's Taco Van Der Hoorn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josef Witlatschil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 94th minute, Taco Van Der Hoorn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Josef Witlatschil was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Callegari's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
