Mathijs Rokeloos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josef Witlatschil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Iwo Sawicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Louis Van Bever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of KFC Cromvelde booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Majkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josef Witlatschil was a little too slow when Mathijs Rokeloos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. Jean-Louis Van Bever made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pentti Ojala in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pentti Ojala in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Louis Van Bever saved KFC Cromvelde from getting behind. The corner led Tiger's Christo Bothenhain to fire away a dangerous shot which Jean-Louis Van Bever despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jean-Louis Van Bever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pentti Ojala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, KFC Cromvelde's Mathijs Rokeloos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josef Witlatschil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Josef Witlatschil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathijs Rokeloos, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

With his leg Jean-Louis Van Bever managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Tiger's Pentti Ojala fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. KFC Cromvelde's Jean-Louis Van Bever played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christo Bothenhain in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute Dé 武松 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Witlatschil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josef Witlatschil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pentti Ojala hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. If Dé 武松 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for KFC Cromvelde! When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, Tiger's Pentti Ojala got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jean-Louis Van Bever. The attack was good, but when Christo Bothenhain in the 74th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 77th minute, Dé 武松 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. KFC Cromvelde's Andries Vermeiren was substituted for Mathijs Rokeloos. Dé 武松 hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Iwo Sawicki received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jean-Louis Van Bever came out and tried to block the shot, but Iwo Sawicki slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 80th minute. Dé 武松 struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Josef Witlatschil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Cromvelde. Tiger made a substitution. Marten Weise replaced Pentti Ojala. The KFC Cromvelde players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
