Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Cavalera in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iker Casillas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iker Casillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Cavalera in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Villa Gordiani's Ciro Esposito got a free kick in the 13th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Igor Cavalera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ogro F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Cavalera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iker Casillas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Igor Cavalera came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Ogro F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Cavalera couldn't finish the play. Iker Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Cavalera, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Cavalera in the 24th minute of play forced Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Iker Casillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Cavalera in the 47th minute of play forced Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Iker Casillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Villa Gordiani's Iker Casillas got control of the ball when Igor Cavalera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Igor Cavalera had several of the Villa Gordiani's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 71 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Iker Casillas as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ogro F.C. made a substitution. Mike Mangini replaced Dan Zimmermann. Philippe Albert charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philippe Albert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 75 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Iker Casillas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor Cavalera. A hard, long distance shot from Arrigo Marrone flew over the goal. Mike Mangini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villa Gordiani's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jerônimo Vergílio was slow to take the kick. During this time Ogro F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Ogro F.C.'s Jerônimo Vergílio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Iker Casillas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ciro Esposito hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. A hard shot 92 in the game by Marco Minnemann from a close distance when the talented Iker Casillas managed to make a qualified save. Villa Gordiani's players were relieved. The Villa Gordiani supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ogro F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Ogro F.C..
