Albino Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo dos Santos in the 14th minute of play. After some careless play in the Deportivo Pomelo Nenene defense, Kobe Haaland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albino Maiorga. The Deportivo Pomelo Nenene fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albino Maiorga should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santo Gonzo got free with Nestor Quirino in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tolek Mlekodaj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Albino Maiorga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabi Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albino Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kobe Haaland in the 24th minute of play. Albino Maiorga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elder Domingues went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Tolek Mlekodaj got a free kick in the 37th minute. The supporters of América-SC F.C. booed when Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvise Nicolai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albino Maiorga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabi Gol in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tolek Mlekodaj made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kobe Haaland got free with Albino Maiorga in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th minute Gabi Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Elder Domingues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Albino Maiorga. Elder Domingues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Gonzo in the 66th minute of play forced América-SC F.C.'s goalkeeper Nestor Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo dos Santos took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albino Maiorga. Albino Maiorga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Albino Maiorga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabi Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gabi Gol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Jerônimo Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded América-SC F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Deportivo Pomelo Nenene.
