Albain Furst ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 9th minute Zelg FC were awarded a corner. Albain Furst went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Zelg FC's corner Albain Furst fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Horaţiu Petran quite easily take care of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Zelg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Konstantinos Kroustallis came free, but Sepp Mainville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilles Clerc in the 13th minute of play forced Gyál United's goalkeeper Horaţiu Petran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Gyál United were awarded a corner. Tito Montaño went to the cornerflag to take it. Irwin Monney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zelg FC's Gilles Clerc got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horaţiu Petran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilles Clerc, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Walmir Breckenfeld made a kick off. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Breckenfeld in the 52nd minute of play. Horaţiu Petran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilles Clerc in the 57th minute. Gyál United's Ignác Mayer was substituted for Ahmet Haşim Tekmil. After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Zoltán Varga got a free kick in the 61st minute. Horaţiu Petran made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Gilles Clerc sent off a good shot on target. Zelg FC were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Gyál United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Albain Furst took the corner. Zelg FC's Albain Furst was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Horaţiu Petran in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 69 minutes into the match, Gyál United's Walmir Breckenfeld sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sepp Mainville narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sepp Mainville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Breckenfeld in the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of Gyál United booed when Zelg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephan Eichenberger didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Zelg FC booed when Gyál United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tito Montaño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
