When Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Santo Gonzo in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Gilles Clerc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serge Tomasini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tolek Mlekodaj made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Herz in the 79th minute of play forced Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper Albino Maiorga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albino Maiorga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irwin Monney in the 86th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Irwin Monney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zelg FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Pomelo Nenene the free kick. Irwin Monney kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match.
