Clapham Comets F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cliff Gordon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Curtis Higgins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnnie Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Rupert Hampshire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrea Strano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th match minute, Chelsea AFC Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kirk Perkins to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Brad Symons nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Elwick made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Rupert Hampshire took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Elwick. Dan Elwick dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Dan Elwick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerry Roebuck in the 24th minute of play. When Clapham Comets F.C.'s Gerry Roebuck in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chelsea AFC Boca Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. Curtis Higgins made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Andrea Strano sent off a good shot on target. Dan Elwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerry Roebuck in the 29th minute of the match. In the 34th minute Andrea Strano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Curtis Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Curtis Higgins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnnie Walker in the 39th minute of play. Johnnie Walker scored 2-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Curtis Higgins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Johnnie Walker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Curtis Higgins made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rupert Hampshire was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Rupert Hampshire recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dan Elwick. Rupert Hampshire showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. 60 minutes into the game, Andrea Strano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Curtis Higgins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Chelsea AFC Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ashley Knight-Percival hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Strano came free, but Curtis Higgins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Cliff Gordon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Curtis Higgins. The supporters of Clapham Comets F.C. booed when Chelsea AFC Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cliff Gordon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
