Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jari Welling got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes, Heino Lehtonen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kultapossukerho and the Palloketut players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kultapossukerho's Heino Lehtonen got a free kick in the 3rd minute. When Eevert Hati fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palloketut's protests and gave Eevert Hati a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Palloketut getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Eevert Hati hit a great ball. Jari Welling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sulo Lahtela having to interfere. When Kultapossukerho's Arto Hytönen in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palloketut's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jari Welling got free with Sulo Lahtela in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Palloketut booed when Kultapossukerho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kalevi Kiprusoff didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jyrki Rajamäki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arto Hytönen in the 26th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kultapossukerho's zone, Jari Welling stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sulo Lahtela came out of the goal and Jari Welling tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jyrki Rajamäki came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Kultapossukerho's Arto Hytönen. But to his dismay, Arto Hytönen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 34 minutes, Arto Hytönen made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Palloketut's Jyrki Rajamäki tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute, Arto Hytönen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kultapossukerho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After the first half Kultapossukerho were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Pietari Jaakkola made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play Palloketut's Eevert Hati was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Kultapossukerho booed when Palloketut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eevert Hati didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the game, one of Palloketut:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 56 minutes, Kultapossukerho's Arto Hytönen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jyrki Rajamäki. In the 62nd minute Jari Welling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sulo Lahtela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kultapossukerho's goalkeeper Sulo Lahtela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75th match minute, Kultapossukerho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antti Kiprusoff to maneuver through the defense. Sulo Lahtela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jari Welling in the 78th minute of the match. Sulo Lahtela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jari Welling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Palloketut were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Kultapossukerho's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antti Furuholm took the corner. The corner ended in Antti Furuholm almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kultapossukerho's Sulo Lahtela did a great save. Sulo Lahtela came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Palloketut's Jari Welling. But to his dismay, Jari Welling quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. With his leg Jyrki Rajamäki managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Kultapossukerho's Arto Hytönen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jyrki Rajamäki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pietari Jaakkola, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Alfred Ruohonen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Kultapossukerho's goal looked a bit too open when Jari Welling came free, but Sulo Lahtela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
