The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Kasperi Puurula fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liverpool FC's protests and gave Kasperi Puurula a yellow card for diving instead. Kasperi Puurula hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Tero Haakana could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst however easily saved by the left post. Tero Haakana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Kasperi Puurula got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 14 played minutes, Manchester United FC's Rafael da Silva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manchester United FC reached it. Tero Haakana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst made a huge save. Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paavo Salmela in the 18th minute of play. With his leg Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Manchester United FC's Tero Haakana fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 22 minutes into the game, Manchester United FC's Michael Owen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Juha Jokiranta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilmo Kaven, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Iikka Haapaniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juha Jokiranta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Martti Helin took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raino Lindfors got free with Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tero Haakana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Liverpool FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Paavo Salmela 43 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. 46 minutes into the game, Paavo Salmela cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tero Haakana to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Miika Vihtilä. In the 52nd minute Paavo Salmela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Tuukka Liimatainen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juha Jokiranta. Tarmo Heikkinen hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Paavo Salmela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Tarmo Heikkinen got a free kick in the 71st minute. But to his dismay, Paavo Salmela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Elmer Harjanne got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Rafael da Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. If Tero Haakana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rasmus Viljanen's late challenge caught a Liverpool FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rasmus Viljanen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Manchester United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rasmus Viljanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Rasmus Viljanen. The crowd rose to their feet as Iikka Haapaniemi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juha Jokiranta. That made the score 7-2 in the 96 minute of play. Manchester United FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Liverpool FC for a fine match.
