Konstantin Hirte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Matthew Jastrzembowski made a huge save. After 15 played minutes Hamburg Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Karhoff. Wulf-Dieter Schwarze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Erdem Kazım tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute of the match Lennie Langhammer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matthew Jastrzembowski skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Hamburg Fighters getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Burkhard Niebler hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Hamburg Fighters's Holder Fohler got a free kick in the 27th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walt Schräder during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hamburg Fighters getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Walt Schräder hit a great ball. Matthew Jastrzembowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from August Pfahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the game, Holder Fohler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hamburg Fighters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Give Peace a Chance the free kick. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hamburg Fighters! Matthew Jastrzembowski had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Frido Stumpf's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Frido Stumpf came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Give Peace a Chance fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frido Stumpf couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frido Stumpf was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Frido Stumpf sped through Hamburg Fighters's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matthew Jastrzembowski. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Frido Stumpf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Give Peace a Chance's supporters rose to their feet, but Frido Stumpf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthew Jastrzembowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Hamburg Fighters's Walt Schräder got a free kick in the 67th minute. After 70 played minutes Give Peace a Chance got a freekick which was hit by David Asserlindh. Give Peace a Chance's Erdem Kazım played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berti Stand in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Give Peace a Chance's Lennie Langhammer got a free kick in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the game, Burkhard Niebler recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erdem Kazım. Burkhard Niebler showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. 84 minutes into the match, August Pfahl notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Hamburg Fighters's Matthew Jastrzembowski. Matthew Jastrzembowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Frido Stumpf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthew Jastrzembowski was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Matthew Jastrzembowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frido Stumpf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Give Peace a Chance had won after a very even match.
