KFC Uerdingen 05's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Klemens Hugo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 11th minute Oskar Zimmert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrell Springer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Alexander Strzelczyk managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when KFC Uerdingen 05's Murat Prüll fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klemens Hugo in the 18th minute of play forced KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Tyrell Springer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Uerdingen 05's Tyrell Springer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otfried Lintorf in the 20th minute of play. Kai Laakmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manfred Andrau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Strzelczyk having to interfere. Alexander Strzelczyk made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Murat Prüll sent off a good shot on target. Tyrell Springer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Fricke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SSV Ulm 1846's Alexander Strzelczyk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save SSV Ulm 1846 from getting a goal against them. In the 38th match minute, KFC Uerdingen 05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kai Laakmann to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen 05's goal looked a bit too open when Klemens Hugo came free, but Tyrell Springer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Walter Zürner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tyrell Springer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otfried Lintorf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murat Prüll to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Kai Laakmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Uerdingen 05 and the SSV Ulm 1846 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kai Laakmann kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Tyrell Springer was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jakob Fricke. Alexander Strzelczyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murat Prüll, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Tyrell Springer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balder Heintges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Strzelczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murat Prüll in the 72nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the SSV Ulm 1846 defense, Kai Laakmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Strzelczyk. The SSV Ulm 1846 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Strzelczyk should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SSV Ulm 1846 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
