The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Armada's Tiberiu Bojin got a free kick in the 8th minute. When Aurelian Otopeanu fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Armada's protests and gave Aurelian Otopeanu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Sportiv Medgidia booed when Armada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Otopeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorin Mereuță in the 15th minute of play forced Club Sportiv Medgidia's goalkeeper Nicu Arghirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes of play, Armada's Tiberiu Bojin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicu Arghirescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Club Sportiv Medgidia's Nicu Arghirescu got control of the ball when Aurelian Otopeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 36 played minutes Armada got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Otopeanu. In the 41st match minute, Club Sportiv Medgidia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Horea to maneuver through the defense. Tiberiu Bojin hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisc Cămărășan was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Armada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorin Mereuță to maneuver through the defense. Nicu Arghirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Otopeanu in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Club Sportiv Medgidia getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Sebastian Matei hit a great ball. In the 61stth minute of the game Dorin Mereuță who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Sportiv Medgidia's Nicu Arghirescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lolo Bolø during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Armada's Lolo Bolø got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 68 minutes of play, Armada's Ernest Bornescu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicu Arghirescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicu Arghirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Bornescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Nicu Arghirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Bornescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Armada getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Mihăiţă Mandache hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Dorin Mereuță ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicu Arghirescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0.
