After 3 played minutes Club Sportiv Medgidia got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Matei. 4 minutes into the match, Club Sportiv Medgidia's goalkeeper Nicu Arghirescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Călin. Nicu Arghirescu had great luck who in the 4thth minute grab hold of the ball when Lucrețiu Mihăescu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Arsenal Giulesti were furious when Eliodor Urdoi was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Augustin Horea shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 13th minute, Gigel Iuonaș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aristide Axinte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Horea in the 16th minute of play. Aristide Axinte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Horea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19thth minute of the game Augustin Horea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal Giulesti's Aristide Axinte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horea Aplugăriței in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aristide Axinte saved Arsenal Giulesti from getting behind. After 24 played minutes Arsenal Giulesti got a freekick which was hit by Grigore Oblemenco. 31 minutes into the match, Arsenal Giulesti's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Horea came free, but Aristide Axinte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horea Aplugăriței received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Aristide Axinte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Călin charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Călin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Denis Călin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augustin Horea made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Stelian Hulubei recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aristide Axinte. Stelian Hulubei showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Arsenal Giulesti's Aristide Axinte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Horea in the 55th minute of play. A hard shot 57 in the game by Augustin Horea from a close distance when the talented Aristide Axinte managed to make a qualified save. Arsenal Giulesti's players were relieved. Grigore Oblemenco hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustin Horea got free with Aristide Axinte in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aristide Axinte was a little too slow when Augustin Horea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal Giulesti's zone, Augustin Horea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristide Axinte came out of the goal and Augustin Horea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Augustin Horea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aristide Axinte was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After 84 minutes of play, Club Sportiv Medgidia's Augustin Horea made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aristide Axinte was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horea Aplugăriței in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aristide Axinte saved Arsenal Giulesti from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Horea in the 96th minute of play forced Arsenal Giulesti's goalkeeper Aristide Axinte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Sportiv Medgidia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
