Augustin Nechifor started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Romeo Ungur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute of the match Valer Cobâlcescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicu Arghirescu skillfully saved the ball. Sergiu Timaru kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Liviu Alupulesei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute of the match Valer Cobâlcescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicu Arghirescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Romeo Ungur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Sportiv Medgidia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Steaua Pildesti the free kick. Nicu Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichifor Vergulescu in the 12th minute of the match. Traian Roşu took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicu Arghirescu. Nicu Arghirescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Octavian Bogdănescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustin Horea, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 28 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Horea came free, but Octavian Bogdănescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Club Sportiv Medgidia got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Ungur. In the 32nd match minute, Club Sportiv Medgidia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Panait to maneuver through the defense. Augustin Horea kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Augustin Horea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augustin Nechifor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nicu Arghirescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Augustin Nechifor slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute, Costin Iorgu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Steaua Pildesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augustin Horea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Horea Aplugăriței hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Sportiv Medgidia's Nicu Arghirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Nechifor in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Augustin Nechifor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Steaua Pildesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Eric Frântu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Nechifor in the 69th minute of play forced Club Sportiv Medgidia's goalkeeper Nicu Arghirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Nichifor Vergulescu hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Augustin Horea could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Octavian Bogdănescu however easily saved by the left post. Club Sportiv Medgidia's Nicu Arghirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Nechifor in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute Nichifor Vergulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Arghirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Traian Roşu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicu Arghirescu having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Augustin Nechifor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicu Arghirescu was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Nicu Arghirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Roşu, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After 91 played minutes FC Steaua Pildesti got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Vergulescu. Horea Aplugăriței charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horea Aplugăriței the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th match minute, Club Sportiv Medgidia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horea Aplugăriței to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the FC Steaua Pildesti players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
