The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Marcel Chiriță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Goma in the 2nd minute of play. If Steve Deckkers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mădălin Bănățeanu during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 played minutes ASF BAIA MARE -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Bănățeanu. In the 7th minute, Lv Si Hao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Balint during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alexandria Team08's Albert Balint got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Amânaloae in the 14th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Marcel Chiriță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- defense, Manuel Amânaloae kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Chiriță. The ASF BAIA MARE -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Chiriță should have stopped the shot. Marcel Chiriță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Amânaloae in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th play minute Gabriel Chiriloaie came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fabian Isăcescu. 1-1. Bogdan Goma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Chiriță having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Amânaloae came free, but Marcel Chiriță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 minutes ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adrian Spirea who took care of the corner kick. Alexandria Team08's Adrian Spirea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcel Chiriță in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Amânaloae in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Chiriță saved ASF BAIA MARE -MM- from getting behind. Fabian Isăcescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steve Deckkers in the 34th minute. A collision led to Alexandria Team08 getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Valentin Susara hit a great ball. Valentin Susara charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Susara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ion Cucerzan struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Fabian Isăcescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ASF BAIA MARE -MM-. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Amânaloae in the 39th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Marcel Chiriță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 51st minute Steve Deckkers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Isăcescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcel Chiriță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Amânaloae in the 52nd minute of play. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 62 minutes into the game, Steve Deckkers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alexandria Team08 the free kick. After 62 played minutes ASF BAIA MARE -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Steve Deckkers. The supporters of Alexandria Team08 booed when ASF BAIA MARE -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Rușanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute Adrian Spirea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Chiriță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 70 minutes on the clock, Ivan Stanciu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Adrian Spirea placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Fabian Isăcescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Arotăriței, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Chiriță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Amânaloae in the 76th minute of play. Fabian Isăcescu came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Steve Deckkers. But to his dismay, Steve Deckkers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 87thth minute of the game Manuel Amânaloae who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Marcel Chiriță was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bogdan Goma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Marcel Chiriță made a huge save. In the 93rd minute Manuel Amânaloae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Chiriță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandria Team08's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adrian Spirea in the 95th minute. Călin Tache tried in the 95th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Marcel Chiriță a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ASF BAIA MARE -MM- fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alexandria Team08 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
