In the 33rdth minute of the game Bartjan Parmentier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ulan Bator Football Club's Guust Bautmans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. KFC Paal-Tervant were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Ulan Bator Football Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adolf van Goetsenhoven took the corner. The corner ended in Joost Rummens almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ulan Bator Football Club's Guust Bautmans did a great save. Gwenn Preuveneer hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. KFC Paal-Tervant's Luckas De Wortelaers got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. KFC Paal-Tervant's Luckas De Wortelaers suffered a sore thigh after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Roger Goos's late challenge caught a KFC Paal-Tervant's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roger Goos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Ulan Bator Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Goos to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Ulan Bator Football Club were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartjan Parmentier was the one to do the kick off. KFC Paal-Tervant's Reinaud De Schutter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willem-Jan Coussement in the 54th minute of play. Guust Bautmans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bartjan Parmentier went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Philippe-Arnaud Pellegrims had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Ulan Bator Football Club's Luke Van der Meiren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reinaud De Schutter. That made the score 2-2 after 85 minutes of play. Guust Bautmans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartjan Parmentier, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartjan Parmentier in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guust Bautmans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
