Daniel Cromefeldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Armentier in the 21st minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, KFC Cromvelde's goalkeeper Daniel Cromefeldt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gino Focquier. In the 30th minute, Edgard Armentier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The de belletrekkers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. de belletrekkers's Kristiaan Van de Velde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt in the 38th minute of play. Gert Robijns kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Remco Baekelandt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. de belletrekkers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFC Cromvelde the free kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt to make the kick off. de belletrekkers's Kristiaan Van de Velde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save de belletrekkers from getting a goal against them. The corner ended in Amaury Laporte almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but de belletrekkers's Kristiaan Van de Velde did a great save. In the 59th match minute, KFC Cromvelde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorie Van Herck to maneuver through the defense. When Harry Steuckens fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Cromvelde's protests and gave Harry Steuckens a yellow card for diving instead. Harry Steuckens hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, KFC Cromvelde's Frits Bracke got a free kick in the 65th minute. Gino Focquier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of KFC Cromvelde booed when de belletrekkers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remco Baekelandt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
