With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michel Batistuta in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herald Wouqier saved Geetsvondel² from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Purple Talents's Michel Batistuta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Herald Wouqier. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. Michel Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herald Wouqier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michel Batistuta ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19th minute, Ludwig Van Gestelt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donato Azevedo took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herald Wouqier. Herald Wouqier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Herald Wouqier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Batistuta in the 24th minute of play. Herald Wouqier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Goos in the 29th minute. Herald Wouqier was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Michel Batistuta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Michel Batistuta really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan Goossens during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Geetsvondel²'s Jan Goossens got a free kick in the 35th minute. When Douglas Gijselinckx fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geetsvondel²'s protests and gave Douglas Gijselinckx a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when Geetsvondel² was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Gijselinckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Geetsvondel²'s goalkeeper Herald Wouqier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christof Bernage. Herald Wouqier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 45 minutes of play Geetsvondel²'s Jan Goossens was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Diego Goos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herald Wouqier having to make a save. If Diego Goos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geetsvondel²'s Herald Wouqier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Azevedo in the 52nd minute of play. Diego Goos's late challenge caught a Geetsvondel²'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Goos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Purple Talents getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Diego Goos hit a great ball. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when Geetsvondel² was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry De Meur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Azevedo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Purple Talents's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Joost Van de Plas came free, but Iker Carabajal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herald Wouqier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Christof Bernage hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Iker Carabajal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan-Joost Van de Plas in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Michel Batistuta notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Geetsvondel²'s Herald Wouqier. Herald Wouqier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Michel Batistuta scored 7-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herald Wouqier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute, Michel Batistuta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Purple Talents fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Geetsvondel²'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Christof Bernage was slow to take the kick. During this time Purple Talents's players had a chance to rest. 84 minutes into the game, Michel Batistuta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Herald Wouqier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A throw-in in the 86th minute of the game was made by Terry De Meur with Jan-Joost Van de Plas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 89 minutes, Bobby Gyselinck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geetsvondel²'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Bobby Gyselinck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Goos in the 92nd minute of play forced Geetsvondel²'s goalkeeper Herald Wouqier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
