The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 13 minutes into the game, Gregorie Kloots cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Andrez Widdepenninck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gregorie Kloots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jesse Debock hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 26 played minutes KV Schoonwater got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Vanden Driessche. Joris Lanphant took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artur Sterckmans. Artur Sterckmans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 30th minute, Jesse Debock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Limburg United getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Giles Callewaert hit a great ball. Maxime Caes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrez Widdepenninck having to interfere. Andrez Widdepenninck stood somewhat misplaced when Gillis Lembrechts came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 38 minute. After 41 minutes, Gillis Lembrechts made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Limburg United's Andrez Widdepenninck tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Perry Huygens fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KV Schoonwater's protests and gave Perry Huygens a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KV Schoonwater getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Perry Huygens hit a great ball. Artur Sterckmans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joris Lanphant went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robbie Van Beylen to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbie Van Beylen in the 54th minute of play forced KV Schoonwater's goalkeeper Artur Sterckmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Sterckmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbie Van Beylen in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Vanden Driessche in the 64th minute of play forced Limburg United's goalkeeper Andrez Widdepenninck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in KV Schoonwater's zone, Dany-Adams Van Halssbeeck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Sterckmans came out of the goal and Dany-Adams Van Halssbeeck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gregorie Kloots kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, KV Schoonwater's goal looked a bit too open when Joris Lanphant came free, but Artur Sterckmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joris Lanphant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Artur Sterckmans made a huge save. Artur Sterckmans was a little too slow when Joris Lanphant got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 4-3. After a defensive mix-up in Limburg United's zone, Gillis Lembrechts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrez Widdepenninck came out of the goal and Gillis Lembrechts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gillis Lembrechts might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrez Widdepenninck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gillis Lembrechts ran back to his position shaking his head. When Matijs Artois fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Limburg United's protests and gave Matijs Artois a yellow card for diving instead. KV Schoonwater made a substitution. Ivo Streels replaced Mattias Vanden Driessche. A collision led to Limburg United getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Matijs Artois hit a great ball. Andrez Widdepenninck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gillis Lembrechts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Streels in the 93rd minute of play forced Limburg United's goalkeeper Andrez Widdepenninck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, KV Schoonwater's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Van Beylen came free, but Artur Sterckmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 played minutes Limburg United got a freekick which was hit by Jesse Debock. In the 97th minute of the match Ivo Streels shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrez Widdepenninck showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. KV Schoonwater's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
