The supporters of SK Dreigoten booed when Silver Squad AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Gheysen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luukas Van Halbeeck got free with Diederiek Heijligen in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute Lex Haesevoets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diederiek Heijligen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as SK Dreigoten's Per Qvalfeldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Diederiek Heijligen. Diederiek Heijligen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute, Joos Van Looy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diederiek Heijligen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Qvalfeldt in the 36th minute of play. Diederiek Heijligen was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Per Qvalfeldt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Per Qvalfeldt really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jules Van Beringhen got free with Diederiek Heijligen in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luukas Van Halbeeck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jo Maerschalcx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joos Van Looy in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cedric Van Landewijck in the 67th minute of play forced Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Diederiek Heijligen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 played minutes, SK Dreigoten's Georges Van Der Talen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diederiek Heijligen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SK Dreigoten reached it. 77 minutes into the match, Luukas Van Halbeeck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diederiek Heijligen. Silver Squad AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luukas Van Halbeeck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. After a rather tough play, SK Dreigoten's Luukas Van Halbeeck got a free kick in the 80th minute. With 83 minutes on the clock, Roland De Cat commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Silver Squad AFC! Silver Squad AFC:s Diederiek Heijligen showed great skill when he stopped Georges Van Der Talen:s penalty. Per Qvalfeldt took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diederiek Heijligen. Diederiek Heijligen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. SK Dreigoten's Washington Hermes was substituted for Elias Van de Velde. After 91 minutes of play, SK Dreigoten's Luukas Van Halbeeck made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diederiek Heijligen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luukas Van Halbeeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SK Dreigoten fully deserved thier win.
