Jan Lekberg's late challenge caught a Plan B's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Lekberg helped the player get up and apologised. Bennvar Nikkinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Jari Litmanen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leif Västberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, FC Kurdistan's goal looked a bit too open when Bennvar Nikkinen came free, but Mats Elg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens Westerberg in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Kurdistan's goalkeeper Mats Elg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Kurdistan's Mats Elg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Westerberg in the 25th minute of play. FC Kurdistan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jens Westerberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Leif Västberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hasan Haram, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, FC Kurdistan's goal looked a bit too open when Jens Westerberg came free, but Mats Elg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kasper Brenner took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mats Elg. Mats Elg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Leif Västberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Lio in the 48th minute of play. Michael Stipe was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 48 minutes into the match. Nils Zachrisson shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jens Westerberg to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Kurdistan's Mats Elg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Brenner in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to FC Kurdistan getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Hasan Haram hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mike Mills during the 62nd minute. Mats Elg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasper Brenner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hasan Haram charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hasan Haram the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Kurdistan's Hasan Haram got a free kick in the 67th minute. FC Kurdistan made a substitution. Kia Motor replaced Jari Litmanen. In the 73rd minute, Kasper Brenner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, Arturo Sandoval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Jens Westerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Elg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Kasper Brenner took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Mats Elg to make any attempt to save it. 88 minutes into the game, Jens Westerberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Mats Elg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute, Arturo Sandoval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FC Kurdistan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Plan B's performance. The match ended with a win for Plan B.
