Stjärnblomster were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Hermanö Oilers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eugen Iurașcu took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Sven-Ove Berggren advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-0 in the 8th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugen Iurașcu got free with Sonny Åkesson in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Hermanö Oilers's Sonny Åkesson got control of the ball when Patrik Smefeldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arne Bryngelsson made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Stjärnblomster's Aaron Quilo. Sonny Åkesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugen Iurașcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugen Iurașcu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sonny Åkesson. That made the score 4-1 in the 47 minute of play. Stjärnblomster made a substitution. Aprígio Aleixo replaced Patrik Smefeldt.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilhelm Cane to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Hermanö Oilers's zone, Steffen Kullgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sonny Åkesson came out of the goal and Steffen Kullgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After taking down the ball on Hermanö Oilers's corner Emil Wallgren fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Philip Gallin quite easily take care of the ball. Steffen Kullgren scored 5-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sonny Åkesson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aprígio Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Åkesson having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Steffen Kullgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sonny Åkesson. Hermanö Oilers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steffen Kullgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. In the 76th minute Steffen Kullgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Åkesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leif Fagerberg's late challenge caught a Hermanö Oilers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leif Fagerberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Stjärnblomster got a freekick which was hit by Leif Fagerberg. Sonny Åkesson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aprígio Aleixo's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Stjärnblomster's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
