The audience was convinced that Ferdinand Bauer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pat Bond was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 24 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Rodney Urbina. Pat Bond made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferdinand Bauer in the 30th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sylvester Chang made a kick off. Pat Bond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Bauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute.
