Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Houston Floyd in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilie Marghescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ilie Marghescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristofer Loyd in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of American Airlines booed when Dep. Moron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ari Giles didn't get a good kick on the ball. If George Costanza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Costanza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Marghescu having to interfere. Jean-Marie Pfaff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ari Giles in the 13th minute of the match. Ilie Marghescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Houston Floyd in the 18th minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, American Airlines's George Costanza made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilie Marghescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Houston Floyd charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Houston Floyd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Houston Floyd kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Ilie Marghescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristofer Loyd in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Dep. Moron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ari Giles to maneuver through the defense. Thurman Clay was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Thurman Clay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, American Airlines's George Costanza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilie Marghescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Dep. Moron's goal looked a bit too open when George Costanza came free, but Ilie Marghescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilie Marghescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Houston Floyd, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The Dep. Moron players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. American Airlines were winning 0-2.

In the 51st minute, George Costanza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Dep. Moron's Lonnie Bowman got a free kick in the 56th minute. George Costanza did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Ilie Marghescu 58 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that George Costanza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilie Marghescu was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Kristofer Loyd managed to get in a good position for a shot. American Airlines's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristofer Loyd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilie Marghescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Dep. Moron's Lonnie Bowman got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Jim McCann fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dep. Moron's protests and gave Jim McCann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Jim McCann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as American Airlines's Houston Floyd slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ilie Marghescu. That made the score 0-4 after 72 minutes of play.
