Thurman Clay's late challenge caught a New England Minas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thurman Clay helped the player get up and apologised. New England Minas were furious when John Profesor was red carded, 7 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. John Profesor kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Dep. Moron's Ilie Marghescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Yurin in the 11th minute of play. In the 16th minute Ari Giles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When New England Minas's Diogo Yurin in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dep. Moron's goalie prevented a goal. 23 minutes into the match, Dep. Moron's goalkeeper Ilie Marghescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Middleton. New England Minas's Segundo Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rashad Werner in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Palacios in the 34th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Segundo Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ayrton Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Marghescu having to interfere. Dep. Moron's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Diogo Yurin scored to the left of an out of position Ilie Marghescu, making the score, 1-0. Segundo Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ari Giles in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rashad Werner to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Yurin in the 52nd minute of play forced Dep. Moron's goalkeeper Ilie Marghescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diogo Yurin struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Ilie Marghescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New England Minas. After 58 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Waylon McQueen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rashad Werner in the 61st minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Segundo Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilfredo Middleton hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Ayrton Senna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilie Marghescu was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Lonnie Bowman kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match Fletcher Lund sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilie Marghescu skillfully saved the ball. In the 71st minute Jim McCann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New England Minas's Segundo Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ari Giles in the 76th minute of play. Segundo Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ari Giles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for New England Minas. Fletcher Lund stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ilie Marghescu. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Wilfredo Middleton managed to get in a good position for a shot. New England Minas's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfredo Middleton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilie Marghescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Ari Giles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Segundo Gol was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. 91 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goalkeeper Segundo Gol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Palacios. A well-hit corner resulted in Jim McCann heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Wilfredo Middleton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The New England Minas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dep. Moron had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
