Segundo Gol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luke Skywalker in the 2nd minute. In the 4th match minute, New England Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Yurin to maneuver through the defense. Kristofer Loyd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Segundo Gol made a huge save. Houston Floyd came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Segundo Gol could save by the left post. If George Costanza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Houston Floyd in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Segundo Gol, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Segundo Gol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luke Skywalker, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Houston Floyd got free with Segundo Gol in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Houston Floyd had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Segundo Gol. New England Minas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Houston Floyd was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, New England Minas's Segundo Gol got control of the ball when Houston Floyd tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Kristofer Loyd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Segundo Gol was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. New England Minas's Segundo Gol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save New England Minas from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Middleton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New England Minas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave American Airlines the free kick. Jean-Marie Pfaff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fletcher Lund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Houston Floyd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fletcher Lund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. New England Minas's Fletcher Lund got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute Houston Floyd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Miles Newsome hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Houston Floyd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Segundo Gol was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Segundo Gol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristofer Loyd in the 70th minute of the match. Jean-Marie Pfaff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacques Stovall in the 75th minute. American Airlines's Jean-Marie Pfaff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save American Airlines from getting a goal against them. Segundo Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristofer Loyd in the 82nd minute of play. Fletcher Lund struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Jean-Marie Pfaff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New England Minas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Skywalker in the 88th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Segundo Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diogo Yurin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
