In the 37th match minute, New England Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Yurin to maneuver through the defense. Segundo Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tuan Zimmerman in the 40th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fletcher Lund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Edgardo Courtney left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ForestFire fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 57 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Brice Wang. Milo Blanco took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Segundo Gol. Segundo Gol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Segundo Gol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milo Blanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 63rd minute Milo Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Fletcher Lund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacques Stovall's late challenge caught a ForestFire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacques Stovall helped the player get up and apologised. Jacques Stovall hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Segundo Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milo Blanco in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Courtney in the 68th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Segundo Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Milo Blanco made a precise shot to the right of Segundo Gol. New England Minas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. 76 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Lane Martinez came free, but Segundo Gol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 78 minutes into the game, when Jacques Stovall put in a rough tackle. The supporters of ForestFire booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacques Stovall didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see ForestFire's Curtis Hunter in action when he in the 80th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 82nd minute of the match Cary Griggs sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Segundo Gol skillfully saved the ball. Segundo Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hal Bonilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was a well-played corner which Curtis Hunter managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 91 minutes into the match, ForestFire's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Ponta came free, but Wes Gillespie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Milo Blanco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ForestFire fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. There was no doubt that ForestFire were the better team. ForestFire's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
