In the 27th minute Noel Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zarco Bandeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Espírito Santo in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, SLB TELHA's goalkeeper Manuel Esteves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noel Tinoco. Zarco Bandeira came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by SLB TELHA's Eduardo Santana. But to his dismay, Eduardo Santana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of SLB TELHA booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind SLB TELHA's goalkeeper Manuel Esteves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Noel Tinoco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes, MZ Fénix's Nuno Cruz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manuel Esteves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MZ Fénix reached it. SLB TELHA's Manuel Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Tinoco in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th match minute, MZ Fénix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. When Noel Tinoco got the opportunity to take care of a free kick, it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball hit the crossbar and flew out of bounds. After a rather tough play, SLB TELHA's Eduardo Santana got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Manuel Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noel Tinoco's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After 67 minutes SLB TELHA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vicente Domingues who took care of the corner kick. In the 71st match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Diogo Guterres made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Avelino Madruga immediately put the ball in play. In the 77th minute, Noel Tinoco made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Esteves. SLB TELHA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Patrício Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Diogo Guterres got a throw-in 83 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Avelino Madruga. Manuel Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Tinoco in the 84th minute of the match. After 85 played minutes SLB TELHA got a freekick which was hit by João Nascimento. MZ Fénix's Vicente Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SLB TELHA's Manuel Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Tinoco in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th minute of the game Lázaro Tomé made a throw-in which Avelino Madruga played forward. Manuel Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Noel Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
