The supporters of Zelg FC booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goalkeeper Godo Gøl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Philippe Vehma. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Qiao Jian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, FC Lugano's Marian Anderjoli threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vico Sticher, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xavier Kirchner during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
