The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. B68 Toftir's Kevin Trapp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Esiquio in the 2nd minute of play. In the 4th minute Mateo Esiquio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Trapp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Remo Pürro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kevin Trapp. Remo Pürro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 10th minute, Remo Pürro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevin Trapp was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 14 minutes into the match, Mateo Esiquio notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of B68 Toftir's Kevin Trapp. Kevin Trapp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nathan Kempf in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tristan Arioli saved Olympique Fribourg from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the game, Mateo Esiquio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Kevin Trapp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mateo Esiquio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Trapp having to interfere. B68 Toftir were furious when Leverett Niens was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 60 played minutes B68 Toftir got a freekick which was hit by Leverett Niens. Kevin Trapp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Steiner, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Fabricius Meuti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Olympique Fribourg fans cheered their team off the field, for while B68 Toftir had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
