A collision led to NFH Family United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Victor Chandran hit a great ball. The supporters of Salmiyah Power booed when NFH Family United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ron Chian didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fadhil Meniri fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salmiyah Power's protests and gave Fadhil Meniri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Fadhil Meniri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samir Abdenouz got free with Steven Rajah in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 16 minutes of play, Salmiyah Power's Samir Abdenouz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steven Rajah was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clive Dryburgh during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, NFH Family United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clive Dryburgh to maneuver through the defense. Boughera Benmabrouk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Steven Rajah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ron Chian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fathi Abbas was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. NFH Family United were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Salmiyah Power's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alam Rajah took the corner. The corner led NFH Family United's Alam Rajah to fire away a dangerous shot which Fathi Abbas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alam Rajah hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of NFH Family United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Salmiyah Power:s goal. Fathi Abbas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ron Chian in the 34th minute of play. When NFH Family United's Ron Chian in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salmiyah Power's goalie prevented a goal. Halim Zeghdoud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Steven Rajah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Ron Chian put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fathi Abbas. In the 46th minute, Victor Chandran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Salmiyah Power's Fathi Abbas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Salmiyah Power from getting a goal against them. The supporters of NFH Family United booed when Salmiyah Power was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fadhil Meniri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boughera Benmabrouk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Rajah having to interfere. Steven Rajah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samir Abdenouz in the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Salmiyah Power's goal looked a bit too open when Ron Chian came free, but Fathi Abbas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samir Abdenouz struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Steven Rajah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salmiyah Power. Salmiyah Power's Rabah Messaoudi was substituted for Zoheir Cohen. Salmiyah Power's Nouara Medjani was substituted for Khalida Zouba. In the 83rd minute Alex Chai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fathi Abbas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steven Rajah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samir Abdenouz in the 86th minute of play. Ron Chian in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fathi Abbas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
