Frank Brorsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Liknes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daustad's Karsten Hveding proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Daustad from getting a goal against them. The supporters of FRANK booed when Daustad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Bjørdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Runar Holmgren fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Daustad's protests and gave Runar Holmgren a yellow card for diving instead. Runar Holmgren kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Bingen Brorsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Karsten Hveding made a huge save. Karsten Hveding made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Øyvind Martinsen sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Liknes was the one to do the kick off. Bingen Brorsson scored 1-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karsten Hveding, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Øyvind Martinsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karsten Hveding. Daustad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Øyvind Martinsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Tom Dyrnes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to FRANK getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Bingen Brorsson hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Daustad defense, Finn Klungtveit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karsten Hveding. The Daustad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karsten Hveding should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FRANK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Daustad had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
