After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Dante Millan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Fernet Branca's supporters rose to their feet, but Dante Millan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cayetano Perutxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Millan in the 22nd minute of play forced the xeneise dream team's goalkeeper Cayetano Perutxo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sportivo Fernet Branca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martin-Daniel Branca in the 24th minute. A nice corner shot did that Martin-Daniel Branca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cayetano Perutxo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Dante Millan came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Sportivo Fernet Branca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Millan couldn't finish the play. Alfonso Dalmai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Lehoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sportivo Fernet Branca's Luisito Seme quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Dante Millan ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dante Millan got free with Cayetano Perutxo in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, Dante Millan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The the xeneise dream team players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
