Teo Lico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Locaio in the 6th minute of play. Prospero Calvino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuel Ihazintu went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Eztebe in the 10th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Mikelar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Prospero Calvino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Prospero Calvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Ursino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Rafaela FC from getting a goal against them. Jonatan Ursino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Prospero Calvino made a huge save. 33 minutes into the game, Ignacio Mikelar lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Prospero Calvino. Prospero Calvino came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Errecaborda AFC's Ignacio Mikelar. But to his dismay, Ignacio Mikelar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernesto Venceslao was the one to do the kick off. Prospero Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mikelar in the 51st minute of play. Errecaborda AFC's Teo Lico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Navarro in the 52nd minute of play. Prospero Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Eztebe in the 55th minute of play. The goalkeeper, Teo Lico, was totally fooled by Rafaela FC's Gustavo Amato, who 70 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jonatan Ursino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prospero Calvino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rafaela FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ignacio Mikelar was slow to take the kick. During this time Errecaborda AFC's players had a chance to rest. In the 75th minute, Marcelo Eztebe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Errecaborda AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. If Ernesto Venceslao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mikelar in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Ignacio Mikelar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prospero Calvino was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. Prospero Calvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Ursino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Mikelar took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prospero Calvino. Prospero Calvino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. In the 97th minute Ernesto Venceslao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Calvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 98 minutes into the match, Ignacio Mikelar notched a goal, 10-1, to the right of Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino. Prospero Calvino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Errecaborda AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
