Ciro Quinton kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacio Derwin in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Brion saved Forever Tango from getting behind. Josef Müller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Müller came free, but Erasmo Ixona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Gaspard hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Ignacio Derwin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcelo Brion. The goal made the score 1-0. With his leg Marcelo Brion managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Marlin FC's Ignacio Derwin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 21st minute Josef Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Ixona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Forever Tango were awarded a corner. Ulises Remir went to the cornerflag to take it. Josef Müller scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erasmo Ixona, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nereo Henry hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32ndth minute of the game Ignacio Derwin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Forever Tango's Marcelo Brion was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Forever Tango fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Forever Tango's Josef Müller looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 37th minute Blas Havier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Ixona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josef Müller in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erasmo Ixona saved Marlin FC from getting behind. Forever Tango's Carlos Santana managed to work through Marlin FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Carlos Santana dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Erasmo Ixona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Havier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Forever Tango were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josef Müller made a kick off. After 54 minutes Marlin FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ulises Remir who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Eufrasio in the 59th minute of play forced Forever Tango's goalkeeper Marcelo Brion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josef Müller who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Erasmo Ixona when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Erasmo Ixona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Blas Havier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnaldo Darien was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Erasmo Ixona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Havier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Marlin FC's Domingo Jon got a free kick in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Müller in the 89th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Erasmo Ixona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Havier came free, but Erasmo Ixona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Forever Tango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Müller didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Forever Tango could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Marlin FC throughout the match.
