After a defensive mix-up in Nouvelle Vague's zone, Santiago Silvino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Socorro came out of the goal and Santiago Silvino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Rodolfo Guillerme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Honorato Normando in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualterio Socorro saved Nouvelle Vague from getting behind. Santiago Silvino struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Gualterio Socorro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Potrero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Abechuco in the 19th minute of play forced C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Isaac Eguntsenti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nouvelle Vague fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorato Normando to make the kick off. Gregorio Benat kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Isaac Eguntsenti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Guillerme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaac Eguntsenti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Abechuco in the 63rd minute of play. After 64 minutes, Honorato Normando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Potrero and the Nouvelle Vague players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rodolfo Guillerme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Isaac Eguntsenti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Santiago Silvino managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Potrero's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Silvino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualterio Socorro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaac Eguntsenti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Jaen, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Marciano Ubelteso came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gualterio Socorro could save by the left post. The supporters of Nouvelle Vague booed when C. A. Potrero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Izotz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santiago Silvino struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Gualterio Socorro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Potrero. 84 minutes into the match, Nouvelle Vague's Walter Abacha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaac Eguntsenti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Fabricio Frechoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gualterio Socorro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Benat in the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C. A. Potrero eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
