Artemio Celino's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Los Andes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Celino helped the player get up and apologised. Club Atletico Los Andes's Teodosio Guillen got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Urbano Bemabe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Tohias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodosio Urre hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Urbano Bemabe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Tohias in the 16th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match Club Atletico Los Andes got a corner. Albigasta FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gilberto Munio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hugo Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Nereo Tohias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nereo Tohias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Urbano Bemabe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Albigasta FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Irrintzi. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Nereo Tohias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Los Andes's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Tohias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urbano Bemabe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the match, Albigasta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Guillen came free, but Urbano Bemabe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albigasta FC's Urbano Bemabe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Tohias in the 37th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Nereo Tohias put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Urbano Bemabe. Artemio Celino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Garaona having to interfere. Club Atletico Los Andes's Enrique Garaona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Romero in the 47th minute of play. Enrique Garaona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Mantzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Virgilio Romano made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Club Atletico Los Andes booed when Albigasta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Mantzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blas Raymundo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Urbano Bemabe. Albigasta FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Tohias in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Urbano Bemabe saved Albigasta FC from getting behind. In the 57th minute, Silvano Gorbea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nereo Tohias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Nereo Tohias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Urbano Bemabe. The goal made the score 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Mantzio in the 65th minute of play forced Club Atletico Los Andes's goalkeeper Enrique Garaona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69thth minute of the game Nereo Tohias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Albigasta FC's Urbano Bemabe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute, Club Atletico Los Andes's Nereo Tohias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Urbano Bemabe. Urbano Bemabe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 84th minute, Nereo Tohias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodosio Guillen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Urbano Bemabe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodosio Guillen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Bemabe having to interfere. Silvano Gorbea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 played minutes Club Atletico Los Andes got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Tohias.
