The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elvio Urtungo during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Unidad de Matanza's Elvio Urtungo got a free kick in the 7th minute. Gonzalo Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Octavio Raymond made a huge save. Reynaldo Rios kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match, Gonzalo Carneiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Octavio Raymond was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Octavio Raymond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Polenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octavio Raymond made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Gonzalo Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Gervasio Galo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavio Raymond was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Marciano Maore capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marciano Maore really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Fausto Johans had several of the Unidad de Matanza's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Octavio Raymond as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, Unidad de Matanza's Emanuel Bakar got a free kick in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Carneiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Octavio Raymond, 3-0. Unidad de Matanza's Octavio Raymond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Unidad de Matanza from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute Reynaldo Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Mejía saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Unidad de Matanza's Octavio Raymond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Unidad de Matanza from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reynaldo Rios to make the kick off. Joaquin Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Luís Mejía made a huge save. After 55 minutes of play, LA LUZ F.C.'s Marciano Maore made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavio Raymond was left in no man's land by his defense there! 60 minutes into the game, LA LUZ F.C.'s Gonzalo Carneiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavio Raymond made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Elvio Urtungo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Luís Mejía made a huge save. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Octavio Raymond, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Unidad de Matanza getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Joaquin Lopez hit a great ball. Marciano Maore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Raymond having to interfere. If Marciano Maore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Rios struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Luís Mejía didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Unidad de Matanza. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. LA LUZ F.C. had won after a very even match.
