In the 3rd minute, Segundo Delfino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Mejía. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 5th match minute, Unidad de Matanza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Bakar to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute of the match Tiburcio Lidon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavio Raymond showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Gonzalo Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 minutes of play, LA LUZ F.C.'s Gonzalo Carneiro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavio Raymond was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Unidad de Matanza getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Matias Peyo hit a great ball. The supporters of LA LUZ F.C. booed when Unidad de Matanza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Bakar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiburcio Lidon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Segundo Delfino got free with Luís Mejía in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luciano Elivareo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Mejía having to interfere. Octavio Raymond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Quilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Aldo Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for LA LUZ F.C.! Luís Mejía made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Gervasio Galo sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Luís Mejía managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Unidad de Matanza's Gervasio Galo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 39 minutes into the match, Unidad de Matanza's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Quilo came free, but Octavio Raymond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Mejía showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Delfino, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Luís Mejía made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Rios in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

LA LUZ F.C. made a substitution. Fausto Johans replaced Marciano Maore. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reynaldo Rios to strike the kick off in the second half. Fausto Johans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, LA LUZ F.C.'s Gualterio Quilo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. With a little luck, Unidad de Matanza's Octavio Raymond got control of the ball when Luís Artime tried to sneak it across the goal line. Unidad de Matanza's Octavio Raymond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Unidad de Matanza from getting a goal against them. Luís Mejía made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Delfino in the 82nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquin Lopez during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of LA LUZ F.C. booed when Unidad de Matanza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. LA LUZ F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gualterio Quilo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Raymond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The LA LUZ F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
