The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Efren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amadeo Jatsu. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Corderall in the 15th minute of play forced Alvarado de Mar del Plata's goalkeeper Segundo Laurendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segundo Laurendi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aarón Anselmino in the 16th minute of play. Segundo Laurendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Piarres in the 18th minute of the match. After 22 minutes Abuba Akotonon FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernando Eleazar who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Pedro Efren at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Abuba Akotonon FC. 2-0. Amadeo Jatsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Lluc in the 61st minute of play. If Hipolito Piarres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Loramendi. A collision led to Alvarado de Mar del Plata getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Timoteo Sancho hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Alvarado de Mar del Plata's goalkeeper Segundo Laurendi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolás Valentini. The Alvarado de Mar del Plata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Segundo Laurendi should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Abuba Akotonon FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
